I was a little girl who dreamed of being on stage.
Much to my frustration, I was the only one taking my role seriously in the Christmas pageant.

I passed notes (in class!) about my plans to move away to become an actress. And in high school, I was voted ‘most likely to stay a kid’ aka the class clown.

Once I flew the nest, I landed in San Francisco to train as a performer and be a part of house music culture in the 90s. I jumped on the opportunity to study classical theatre at Oxford University, and then made my way to mecca, New York City, to ACT and DANCE.

After decades of performing, and the inescapable move to Los Angeles, I began to agree with Gene Wilder:

“What I didn’t know was that I don’t need to act. I might want to act—just for the love of acting—but not because I need to earn the right to feel loved.”

Healing from my propensity for earning love through performing, I was able to give and receive love and support authentically, as I embarked on a life of teaching, directing and coaching.

In the past 20 years, I built a performing arts school to teach people of all ages how to express themselves. And I’ve traveled the world sharing voice exercises, theatre games, movement and improv.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with thousands of folks from a wide variety of backgrounds. And it is my purest joy to help people play together and freely express themselves.

I believe in this work so much that I went back to school to prove how vital it is, completing a master’s degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Change at Pepperdine University in 2012.

At my core, I teach what I’ve learned and share what I know.

And I know for certain I can help you with your voice.
